Cal State Channel Islands has two teams entered in the 2023 Winter Classic Student Cluster Competition. This team, “Results Not Guaranteed”, is a good take on the world of student cluster competitions. The school first competed in the 2022 Winter Classic, again with two teams, dubbed “Don’t Panic” and “Ekhos Engineers”, a play on their dolphin mascot.
One member of the team competed in the 2022 Winter Classic and also on a joint Channel Islands-Prairie View team at SC22 in Dallas, Texas. That valuable experience will definitely come into play in the 2023 Winter Classic.
"I'm Lumir D'Ambrosio. I'm a senior at CSUCI majoring in computer science who is hooked on HPC after competing in the Winter Classic Cluster Competition 2022 and at SC22. I love working with Linux systems and enjoy expressing my creativity in the realm of computers."
