UC Santa Cruz – Not So Slow Slugs Team 1

UC Santa Cruz is going all out this year with not one, not two, but three teams in the 2026 Winter Classic. This team, the Not So Slow Slugs 1, is composed of a senior (who was on the UCSC team last year), three juniors, and two sophomores. Their majors are a bit more varied than other teams, with a couple of Applied Mathematics students, a Robotics major, and a dual game design/computer science. Last year, Santa Cruz came in second behind a very strong Texas Tech Red Raider team and the year before just barely behind them again. The Team 1 slugs get another chance at the championship this year.
