One thing we needed for this interview – more bandwidth and lower latency, just like HPC. We interviewed three members of the FAMU team and learned how they’re learning all about HPC through hands on experience through the competition.
During the conversation, we talk about student career plans, they’re an ambitious bunch. We also discuss their progress on their current application, NASA’s WRF Challenge. They’ve made some good progress and are in the scoring column. What’s interesting is that when asked, they said the most difficult thing about the competition was being able to find time to get together in the same room and work on the modules.
